Maitland Woods: Important Notice to Hikers

UPDATE: THE MAITLAND WOODS TRAIL HAS RE-OPENED (APRIL 10, 2025)

As you may know, the Maitland Woods Trail is primarily located within the boundaries of the Town of Goderich, with a small section passing through private lands. Due to a recent incident, we have temporarily closed the section of trail on private lands.

Until further notice, hiker must use the Blue C-F Crossover Trail as an alternative and avoid Sections D and E, the rear white-blazed trail. We have placed signs along the trail to guide you.

We appreciate your patience and understanding until the matter is resolved.
