About the event

Saturday | August 24 | 1:00 PM

Cycle: G2G and Ball’s Bridge. Helmets are required and be prepared and dress for rain or sunshine.

Details: G2G McGaw Siding to start/finish – 20 km out and back

Maitland River Bridge of a Promise – We will visit the westerly abutment of the Maitland River Bridge on the G2G trail on the former CPR rail bed. Gazing east, relive the feeling of longing for a complete connection to your community on “the other side”. A bridge in the truest definition of community building that we wish for to this day!

Balls Bridge – built in 1885 to span the Maitland River during colonial settlement of the day and reconditioned in 2007 is a one of a kind working example of its design in North America.

Difficulty: Level 2, moderate pace, 2.5 hour bike ride

Registration: For more information and to confirm your attendance, please contact George Cantin at streamsideinc@gmail.com
